ELKHART — Mary L. Walker, 77, of Elkhart, passed away at Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett, Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017. following an extended illness.

She was born, in Elkhart,  Feb. 14, 1940, to the late Paul and Betty (Vredingburgh) Stewart.

Surviving is a son, Paul Walker; stepdaughters Sandra Walker and Debbi (Stephen) Smith; granddaughters Elizabeth Walker and Jessica Killingbeck; and sister Lisa (Matt) Van Dyke.

Mary was preceded by a brother, Bill Stewart and a daughter-in-law, Gina Walker.

In accordance with Mary's wishes, no services have been planned and cremation is to take place.

Burial at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen will be at a later date.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is assisting with arrangements.

Mary was a dog groomer for more than 32 years and was partial owner of the K9 Ranch Kennels in Fort Wayne.

Memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
