ELKHART — Mary L. Wagner, 87, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Mishawaka to Oliver M. and Florence V. (Hirsh) Hine. On June 26, 1960, she married Millard S. Wagner. He passed away Aug. 17, 1995.
Survivors include sons Larry (Monica) Roth, Glenn (Jackie) Wagner and Dennis Wagner; daughters Sharon (Fred) Clair, Kathy Galbreath and Denise Lynch, all of Elkhart; and 62 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughters Beverly Thomson and Judy Roth; three brothers; one sister; and faithful pet companion Sedona.
Mary enjoyed playing cards, working on word search books and reading Bible verses, and loved to watch the Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame football.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Interment of her cremated remains will be at a later date at Prairie Street Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
