In accordance with Mary's wishes, she will be laid to rest at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen, IN at a later date. A private family graveside service will be held when the weather is warm and the sun is bright, just as Mary would have liked it. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Mary was a determined and strong woman who survived three courageous battles with Cancer. She was always the protector in her large family, especially over her youngest brother, Daniel. Mary taught Daniel how to ride a bicycle and drive a car. They were almost inseparable and would walk to the Church of God together on Sunday mornings. Mary was the first woman in her family to graduate High School and was a very intelligent young lady. She enjoyed writing poems and imaginative stories and could be found most of the days reading at the local library. Her love of reading continued into her adulthood and as she became a mother.

Summer was her favorite time of the year and she made sure her children knew how to have fun. Their summer days went something like this: In the morning they would head out to the local beach and swim for hours in the summer sun; for lunch they would drive down to the local root beer barrel; then in the evening they would gather up all their family and friends in their car and take everyone to the Drive-In to see the latest movie. Some days they would even take a drive wherever the road would take them and stop by every roadside attraction before turning around and heading back home.

Though Mary had a rough upbringing with a large family, she loved life and lived it to the fullest abiding by the morals and lessons she read in the Bible. The love she had in her heart was so big that she would take in any stray cat or dog she came across. They instantly became her faithful companions. No matter what life threw at her, Mary always approached life with a smile and remained positive. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and by all the lives she touched.
