GOSHEN -- Mary Lou (Hutchison) Price, 66, of Goshen, died at 6:11 p.m. Monday (Jan. 31, 2011) at Indiana University Health Methodist Campus during a scheduled surgery.
She was born Jan. 18, 1945, in Elkhorn, Wis., to the late Robert and Dorothy (Sweetnam) Hutchison. She married Ernest "Dick" Price on Sept. 8, 1967, in Edwardsburg, Mich. He passed away on May 12, 2009, in Elkhart.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jodi (Mark) Freshour of Constantine, Mich., and Julie (Michael) Booth of Blaine, Minn.; five grandchildren, Matt Booth, Alex Freshour, Olivia Freshour, Devin Booth and Katie Booth; a brother, Wm. F. Hutchison of Elkhart; two aunts, Mildred Gardner of Whittier, Calif., and Lorraine Jorgenson of Redlands, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Marilou Mucha of Chesterfield, Mo., and Joanna (Bob) Arber of Euless, Texas; and her mother-in-law, Elma Stewart of Elkhart.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her stepmother, Neva Hutchison, and an infant son, Samuel Scott Maier.
Mary Lou retired in January 2009 from Zale Corporation in Irving, Texas, after 21 years of service. She had many hobbies, including knitting, reading and talking with friends, but spending time with her grandchildren always topped the list. Mary Lou was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, sister and friend and will be truly missed by all.
Please join with her family from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Friends may also call for one hour prior to the 3:30 p.m. celebration funeral service Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 400 S. West Blvd., in Elkhart. Pastor Robert G. Schallhorn Jr. will officiate, assisted by Pastor Robert Arber. Burial and graveside services will follow at Carlton Cemetery, Elkhart.
