She was born Aug. 4, 1913, to Albert and Clara Bernice (Cripe) Stutsman in Elkhart. On Aug. 17, 1940, she married Floyd Ort, who preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1987.

She is survived by one son, James (Patti) Ort of Montgomery, Ill.; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by one son, Charles A. Ort; one infant daughter, Mary Kay Ort; one brother, Paul Stutsman; and one sister, Ruth Scheidel.

Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of the arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. The Rev. Mark Fenstermacher of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate.

Mrs. Ort was formerly employed as a secretary at Godfrey Conveyor. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and volunteered at Riverview Adult Day Center, the Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels, Elkhart General Hospital and the YWCA Senior Center. She was an avid RV traveler and enjoyed visiting places all over the United States with her husband.
