ELKHART — Mary Jane Myers, 87, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at her residence.
She was born March 10, 1925, in Argos to Orville and Meadie (Kindig) Warstler. On Aug. 12, 1950, she married Richard E. Myers Sr. in LaPorte. He passed away Feb. 25, 2001.
Survivors include a son, Richard E. Myers Jr., daughter Deborah (Clinton) Wood and two grandchildren, Benjamin (Cassy) Wood and Lindsey (Shaun) Jacquez, all of Elkhart.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Mary was employed for more than 38 years with Boris Smoler and Sons in Elkhart and LaPorte and later worked at Imperial Fabrics. Mary enjoyed RV camping, spending time with friends playing dominoes and bingo, and being with her children and especially her grandchildren.
Private graveside services were held at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Pastor Michael Rogers of Solid Rock Church of God officiated. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, was in charge of arrangements.
