Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Lamb Davenport, 88, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully of natural causes at East Lake Health & Rehab on Monday, June 28, 2021. She was born on December 28, 1932 in Elkhart to the late Ed and Alice Grooms Lamb. Her Husband Donald P. "Don" Davenport passed away on March 2, 2019 in Elkhart after 67 wonderful years together. Mary and Don were married on July 10, 1951 in Angola, Indiana.

Surviving Mary is a daughter, Kathy (Dave) Lewis, a sister: Peggy Marschke of Edwardsburg, Michigan and a son-in-law Fred Stein of Elkhart, Four grandchildren, Eight Great grand-children, and Three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Becky Stein.

Mary was a life-long resident of Elkhart. Mary retired from Elkhart General Hospital in 1994 after 32 years of service in the Michiana Linen's department. Family was all important to Mary. She also enjoyed reading mystery novels, playing word search puzzles, and enjoyed watching Hallmark Christmas movies. The family always enjoyed family vacations in Colorado.

In accordance with Mary's wishes, cremation will take place at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Memorials may be given to The American Heart Association.
