Mary graduated from Elkhart High School in 1947. She retired from Miles Laboratory/Bayer after 21 years. She also worked at Sears and Kroger’s when she was younger. She was very proud of how clean her home was as well.

In their years together, Mary and Red enjoyed travelling to all 50 states. In their travels, they enjoyed camping where they could fish especially on Chapman Lake.

Mary was a parishioner at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church cooking and serving church funeral lunches and a member of the Rosary Society. She also volunteered at the Red Barn of the Humane Society, feeding the hungry with Meals on Wheels, and Respite Group with hospice.

In her free time, Mary enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking.

Most of all, Mary loved her family especially being a grandma and memaw.
