ELKHART -- Mary K. Culbertson, 62, residing in Elkhart, passed away Monday morning, Aug. 22, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital from natural causes.
Mary was born June 18, 1949, in Elkhart to the late George and Frances (LeGrand) Helpingstine. On Nov. 7, 2002, in McClure, Va., she married Tom C. Culbertson.
He survives; as well as her son, David Vance and his wife, Anne, of Osceola; daughter Kelly Martin and her husband, Jerry, of Dayton; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Tonya Masten and her husband, Michael, of Elkhart.
Mary was a 1967 graduate of Elkhart High School and worked for many years as a secretary at Mid States Tool & Die. She was a woman of great faith and loved the Lord and her grandchildren. Mary enjoyed reading and loved animals.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, where a service to celebrate her life will begin at 7 p.m. Pastor Lee Campbell of New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date in Carlton Cemetery.
