Marvin Lee Trost, 91, of Goshen, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Laporte, IN on December 24, 1934, to the late Louis H. and Doris E. (Swanson) Trost.

Marvin is survived by his children, Louis William (Patricia) Trost of Osceola, Ruth (Jeff) Truex of Goshen, and Terry Trost of Flint, TX; daughter in law, Tammy Meredith; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Paul E. (Carol) Trost of New Carlisle and Marilyn Van Goey of St. Petersburg, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Virginia E. (Crise) Trost; son, Marvin Lee Trost Jr.; step-son, Mike Meredith; grandson, Marvin Lee Trost III; brother, Norman Trost; and sister, Shirley Wright.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN. A Funeral Service will follow at noon with Pastor Earl Hostler of Whosoeverwill Worship Center officiating. Marvin will be laid to rest with his wife at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen. Memorial donations may be given to the Whosoeverwill Worship Center, 2819 S 6th St, Elkhart, IN 46517 where Marvin and Virginia were original members of.

Marvin was a kind man who put others needs before his own. He was a hard worker and started working in the restaurant business at Bonnie Doons and St. Mary’s College. He also worked for Howard Johnson, Azars, Indiana Toll Road, and at the Glass House where he met his wife, Virigina. Marvin was the former accountant with ILC Products. Then later became a controller for RW Shambach Revivals for 20 years in Texas.

Golf was a lifelong enjoyment from being a caddie as a kid to playing with family and friends and in tournaments to enjoying watching it on TV. Marvin also enjoyed traveling with his wife, they always enjoyed being together.

Marvin’s faith in God meant everything to him and he lived his life according to Psalm 1. He was a member of the Whosoeverwill Worship Center and served as a trustee for the church for many years. Marvin was a prayer warrior who served his Lord faithfully by always praying for others to know God and Jesus Christ as their Savior. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.
