ELKHART -- Marti D. Johnson, 52, of 333 W. Mishawaka Road, died at 2:40 p.m. Saturday (April 4, 2009) in Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Jan. 20, 1957, in Michigan City to Mack and Ruth (Johnson) Walker.

Ms. Johnson is survived by one son, Andrew Johnson of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Pamela Johnson and Carla (Steve) Gamer, both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Carlon (Helen) Johnson and Michael Johnson, both of Indianapolis; and her father of Sikeston, Mo.

Ms. Johnson was an accountant.

ELKHART -- A memorial service for Marti D. Johnson, 52, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Faith Mission, 801 Benham Ave., Elkhart. The Rev. Noble Tobe Swihart will officiate.
