GOSHEN — Martha "Sukie" Pigors, 99, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Greencroft Healthcare of Goshen.
She was born Feb. 3, 1914, in Evanston, Ill., to Carl W. and Ellen (Kinney) Kiser.
On April 16, 1937, she married Vincent J. Pigors in Chicago. He passed away July 26, 1983.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Charon) Pigors of El Paso, Texas, David (Marilyn) Pigors of Hendersonville, N.C., and Anthony (Penny) Pigors of Middlebury; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Leonard and Nancy Kiser, and grandson Brian Pigors.
Sukie was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Frontiers Club, Elkhart Art League, Mom's Club, Four Arts League and YWCA.
She loved raising her three sons. She was an accomplished amatuer artist who often painted oil and watercolor paintings.
Cremation will be at Altera Cremation Services. A graveside service will be in Rice Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
