Mark J. Thorn, 63, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Valley View Healthcare Center in Elkhart. He was born on October 10, 1958, in Terre Haute, IN to the late Jerry and Jenny (Little) Thorn.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Brittany Ward; grandchildren, Lyric White and Liam Ward; brothers, Mike Ashton, John Thorn, and Roger White; and sisters, Lynn Murphy, Jill Newton, and Konnie Mix. He is preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with Mark's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart.

Mark was a caring man who always did what he could to help a stranger in need. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Brittany, and together they shared many fond memories. They enjoyed watching football together, fishing, visiting the Brickyard (and seeing Kasey Kahne), and cheering on Jimmie Johnson when they would watch NASCAR together. In his younger years, Mark used to travel and screen print T-shirts. Their fondest memory that they both shared was when they took many trips to Indiana Beach together. Mark will be dearly missed by his loving family.
