Mark J. Snyder, 90, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Moorhead, Minnesota on July 10, 1935, to the late Adam Snyder and Anna Halvorson.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Kathryn Snyder; children, Vicki (Jim) Overhulser, Cindy Tucker, Susan (Doug) Mills and Matthew (Becky) Snyder, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchild.

In accordance with Mark's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN. A private family celebration of life service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Mark's memory may be given to American Cancer Society.

Mark was a kind and caring man who put others' needs first before his own. He served proudly in the United States Air Force for 4 years and later worked as a tool and die maker for many years. Mark's family was his whole world and his loving wife, Kathryn, made it complete. He made sure he was both the strong man of the house and the kind caretaker who made sure everyone felt loved and safe. Mark was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. Words cannot express how much he will be dearly missed by his loving family.
