She was born Aug. 27, 1922, in Coldwater, Mich., to Branston and Gertrude (Young) Shoup. She married Hugh A. Woosley on Dec. 25, 1955, in Syracuse. He died Dec. 8, 1991, in Elkhart.
She is survived by one brother, John (Margaret) Shoup of Middlebury; one stepdaughter, Betty Grisard of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and one stepgranddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Robinson and Dorothy Blough.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Thursday funeral service at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tom Thews will officiate. Burial will be in Gracelawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Woosley attended South Bend College of Commerce and Elkhart Business University, where she was secretary to the president, and later, assistant to the president. She also worked as a secretary in the office of the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, where her husband was the administrator. She was a member of the inspection team, which required extensive travel.
Mrs. Woosley was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Mary-Susanna Circle. She worked for many years in crafts and sewing for church bazaars and was a member of the Four Arts Club.
