BRISTOL -- Marjorie L. Ross, 82, of Village Women's Group Home, passed from this world into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 11:20 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011.
She was born April 10, 1929, to Peter and Pearl (Fink) Ross in Elkhart.
Surviving are her dearly loved brother, Harold E. (Flora) Rose of Elkhart; niece and guardian Judi (Duane) McCloughan of Edwardsburg, Mich.; nephew Tim (Kelli) Rose of Goshen; and several great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Margie's parents, sister Josephine Ross, and brothers Melvin Ross and Donald Ross all preceded her in death.
Margie entered the ADEC program in 1987 after the death of her mother. She worked at ADEC Industries until she retired and then attended ADEC'S day program for many years. She resided at the Bristol North Group Home for a few years and then moved to Village Women's Group Home, where she has resided for the last 18 years of her life.
Margie was loved very much and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, housemates and many, many ADEC staff who worked with, loved and cared for Margie over the years. Margie loved the scrapbooking class at ADEC'S day program and was known for her bright smile and constant laughter. All who knew and loved her will miss hearing her jokingly call them a baboon.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the family.
