Marjorie Lynn "Marge" Nofziger, 77, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday, February 14th, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital. Marge was born on December 9th, 1947, in Corry, Pennsylvania, to the late Clayton K. and Ruth (Hershberger) Troyer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary A. Troyer.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Verlyn; their son, Shawn C. Nofziger and his wife Ryan of Michigan; their daughter, Tara N. Nofziger of New York; three siblings, Nancy K. Weaver (and Bob, deceased) of Florida, Keith C. Troyer and his wife Carol of Pennsylvania, and Sharon L. Miller and her husband Joe of Pennsylvania. Marge had a long and fulfilling career as a registered nurse at Elkhart General Hospital, serving for 45 years—17 years in the ICU and 28 years in the PACU.
Marge was known for her infectious laugh, her loving and compassionate spirit, her radiant smile and giving the best hugs. She had a witty sense of humor and was often the architect behind many family surprises and pranks. She had a deep passion for helping others, reflected through her strong faith and volunteer work where she developed deep relationships and lasting friendships. She was an active member of Trinity on Jackson, where she volunteered as an usher, greeter and Director of Youth and Vacation Bible School programs. Marge served on the board of directors for the Riverview Adult Day Health Center as well as the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO).
Marge and Verlyn shared a love for travel, with one of their favorite trips being a visit to Israel in 2020. Marge was also a cruciverbalist (a crossword puzzle enthusiast), as well as an avid player of Wordscapes and Euchre.
Above all, Marge's greatest joy was in loving and caring for her family, friends, and patients. Truly an angel on earth, bringing smiles to everyone she met.
