ELKHART -- Friends of Marjorie M. Howard may call one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007, memorial service at St. John's Episcopal Church, 226 W. Lexington Ave., Elkhart. The Rev. Richard A. Kallenburg will officiate. Cremation has taken place and Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is helping the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Howard, 91, of C.R. 24 W., died at 5:55 a.m. Jan. 23, 2007, in Hubbard Hill Estates.

She graduated in 1933 from Elkhart High School and worked as a secretary at Miles Laboratories. She was a lifelong member of St. John's, where she organized the first parish office and served as the church's first secretary. She also was a member of Chapter BG of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Progress Club, Four Arts Club and a charter member of Elkhart General Hospital Auxiliary. With more than 50 years of volunteer service at the hospital, Mrs. Howard also served on the Indiana Hospital Auxiliaries Association board.
