ELKHART — Marion P. "Rocky" Laughman, 62, of Elkhart, passed away following an extended illness at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born in Elkhart on Oct. 26, 1952, to the late Virgil and Carol (Shelt) Laughman.
Surviving are his sisters, Linda Francesconi of Goshen, Sharon Markle of Novi, Mich., and Margaret (Dirk) Spice of Cassopolis, Mich.; and brother Larry (Kathy) Laughman of Edwardsburg, Mich.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Rocky's life will be celebrated at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. Visitation will begin at noon. Pastor Carl Henry of Northside Baptist Church will officiate. A private burial will follow in Olive Cemetery in Elkhart.
Rocky loved to fish, bowl and spend time having a cup of coffee at Callahan's with his friends. He will be best remembered for his devotion to his beloved sidekick, "Lilly" the Yorkie, who also preceded him.
Memorial donations may be given to the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
