Marilyn Kay Glassburn, 70, of Middlebury, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.

Marilyn was born on November 8, 1952 in Elkhart, IN to Walter A. and Dorothy M. (Conway) Daum.

She married the love of her life, Stephen Glassburn on November 18, 1972 in Elkhart.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her brother, Jim and sister, Ruby.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Stephen Glassburn; children, Juan (Amy) Glassburn of Goshen, Ben Glassburn (Joy) of Elkhart, Renee (Jeremy) Weishaupt of Osceola, Michael (Michelle) Glassburn of Bristol, Tom (Hannah) Glassburn of Goshen and Scott (Ashley) Glassburn of Bristol;  sister, Deb Snell of Elkhart; 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Marilyn was caregiver with Brentwood Assisted Living Center for over 14 years. She was also a co-owner of Bristol Sporting Goods with her husband for years.

Marilyn and Steve are both members of Radiant Life Church in Elkhart and former members at Calvary Assembly Church.

She embraced her Christian faith by going on Mission Trips, teaching at kiddie college and running the church day care and food service.

Marilyn was daring and had a competitive spirit. She had a childlike spirit that matched her love of children.

She was an excellent cook and looked forward to getting the family together for the holidays or reunions.

Most of all, her family was her world. She left an impression on everyone who knew her.

Friends and family may gather on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Bethel Assembly of God Church.

A Celebration of Marilyn's Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Bethel Assembly of God, 600 E. Bristol St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor John Utley presiding.

Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to Radiant Life Church to fund future Mission Trips and help the food pantry.
