ELKHART — Marilyn Joan Bryant, 82, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 4, at the home of her daughter.
She was born July 24, 1934, in Elkhart, to the late Claude J. and Vivian (VanHuffel) Adams.
Marilyn was a 1952 graduate of Elkhart High School and married Kenneth Bryant on May 2, 1952. He died Aug. 17, 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Miller, two sons, David (Lucy) Bryant and Daniel (Brenda) Bryant, all of Elkhart; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jim (Jean) Adams of Elkhart.
In addition to her parents and husband, a grandson, Michael Bryant preceded her in death.
Marilyn formerly worked for Excel Corp. She also worked as a secretary for the attorney Samuel Rodino and at the First Congregational Church.
Marilyn loved to read, play computer games, cards and do word search puzzles.
Services celebrating the life of Marilyn J. Bryant will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, with visitation one hour prior at the Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart. Pastor Jeff Estep will officiate.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen and she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Kenneth, in Olive Cemetery West at a later date.
