Marie Diana Lawson, 79, of Elkhart, passed away after a long illness on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Marie was born on November 1, 1941 in Elkhart, IN to the late, Harold and Josephine (Juday) Fuller. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Marie Lawson.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Dawn Renee (Fred) Yoder of Wolcottville, IN; sister Judy (Ronald "Bub") Squires of Niles, MI; 2 grandchildren, Nathaniel and Nicole Yoder and nephew, Klete Squires of Hopedale, MA.

Marie was employed with many local dry cleaners throughout Elkhart most recently at Personalized Cleaners. She also worked at the cafeteria at Roosevelt Elementary School as well.

Marie was a very outgoing and social person. She enjoyed going to Warren Dunes beach with her daughter. Marie loved shopping at her favorite department stores especially with her sister, Judy. Marie also played Bingo with her friends at Martins and could often be seen at the Matterhorn especially during Thanksgiving.

A Private Visitation and Service will take place on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating. Burial will take place at Rice Cemetery.
