ELKHART -- Marie Bartlett, 96, of Elkhart, passed away early Friday morning, March 18, 2011, at Elkhart Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 13, 1915, in Mishawaka to the late John and Adeline (Johnston) Wambaugh. She married Charles Bartlett on Nov. 13, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Surviving are her sons, Richard L. "Dick" (Nancy) Moore of Elkhart and James L. (Gail) Bartlett of Indianapolis, and daughter Sue (Ted) Johnson of Elkhart. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and her caregiver, Ann Lail.
Marie was a line leader and machine operator at Whitehall Laboratories for 28 years. She was a member of McCoy Memorial Baptist Church. Marie enjoyed her time living on the St. Joseph River and loved to garden and plant flowers. She loved her cat, KeKe.
Visitation and services for Marie will be private. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Pastor Raymond P. Laborde will officiate.
