Maria Ofelia Sanchez, passed away from a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis on the morning of September 8, 2021.

Maria is survived by her children, Juan (Miriam) Garcia and Susana (Julio Sangines) Sanchez; partner, Andres Garcia; and grandchildren, Yahaira Sangines, Yandelhi Sangines, Luis Garcia, Xitlaly Garcia, Damian Garcia, Josiah Garcia and Kaeden Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Joseline Sangines.

Visitation will take place on Monday, September 13, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in the school's gymnasium, 1108 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46516 with a rosary to take place at 6:30 p.m. Mass of a Christian Burial will take place at the church on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at noon with a burial to follow at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery.

She was a loving warrior whom welcomed everyone into her heart. She was always willing to help anyone with anything she was able to. She is remembered by her close friends and family as a loving friend, mother, and grandmother. Although she was a very strong woman whom fought every step of the way. Her faith in God also provided her with the strength to keep going. As well as her family, and close friends.

Maria le sobreviven sus hijos, Juan (Miriam) Garcia y Susana (Julio Sangines) Sanchez; pareja, Andres Garcia; y nietos, Yahaira Sangines, Yandelhi Sangines, Luis Garcia, Xitlaly Garcia, Damian Garcia, Josiah Garcia, y Kaeden Garcia. Ella es precedida en la muerte por sus padres y nieta, Joseline Sangines.

La vista tendra lugar el Lunes 13 de Septiembre de 2021 de 5-7 p.m. en St. Vincent De Paul Iglesia Catolica en el gimnasio de la escuela, 1108 S. Main St. Elkhart, IN 46516 con un rosario que tendra lugar en 6:30 p.m. La misa de un entierro christiano tendra lugar en la iglesia el Martes 14 de Septiembre de 2021 al mediodia con un entierro a seguir en st. Vincent De Paul Cementerio.

Ella era una guerrera amorosa quien aceptaba a todos dentro de su corazón. Ella siempre estaba dispuesta en ayudar en lo que ella podía. Ella es recordada por sus amistades cercanas y su familia como una amiga, madre, y abuelita amorosa. Aunque era una mujer muy fuerte quien luchó en cada paso contra su enfermedad. Su fe en Dios le dio fuerza para seguir adelante, igual su familia y amistades cercanas.
