Margie R. (Hayes) Wilson age 91 passed away peacefully the morning of Monday, February 13, 2023, in her home where she found comfort and joy.

Margie was born in Clarksville, TN on March 28, 1931, the daughter of the late James Allen Hayes and Anna (Baggett) Hayes. Margie had four children with the late Guy C. Nelson and was also married to the late Eugene Wilson.

She is preceded by her son, Guy Michael Nelson and granddaughter, Leslie Marshall and her three brothers Edward, Hubert, and Bill.

Margie will be missed dearly by her surviving children, Ken (Beth) Nelson, Cindy (Mike) Marshall of Elkhart and Joyce Watkins of Buchanan, MI.  She had an abundance of love for her grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad) Sotebeer, Marissa (Matt) Golla, Keaira (Austin) Lambright, and Blake (Morgan) Smith and great grandchildren Taylor, Sophia, Whitney, Kabella, Isabel, Kaitlyn, and Zoey.  Her beloved longtime friends, Donny and Mary Martin, Gordon Shaum and Ken Sheppard along with her little dog, Gracie.

Margie was a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother and a great friend, from this we have all gained a wonderful legacy from her.  May we also always remember her playful soul to shine down upon us.

Margie spent most of her life as a homemaker, where she enjoyed time with her family doting over her grandchildren, gardening, and working in her yard. Margie was always up to have a good conversation over a cup of coffee, her smile would light up a room with her kind and gentle nature not to forget her spunky sense of humor, she had an adventurous nature about her to go along with whatever her grandkids could talk her into.

A celebration of life will take place in the late spring.
