Margie Louise Fisher, 86, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Elkhart Meadows. Louise, as she was fondly known to family and friends, was born on September 16, 1937 in Jasper, Alabama to the late Marlin and Gladys (Harris) Lay and later married Charles W. Fisher Sr. on April 6, 1957. He passed away in 1983. In addition to her parents and husband, a son Charles W. Fisher Jr, three brothers, Bobby, Tommy and Charles Lay and her sister Ruth Gail Ellsworth preceded her in death.
Louise is survived by two sons Tony D. Fisher Sr., Roger D. (Nancy Stith) Fisher; five loving grandchildren Tony Fisher Jr., Zachary (Amanda) Fisher, Coty (Jess) Fisher, Tyler (Lauren) Fisher, Kayla Fisher; also, four great grandchildren Elijah, Lucas, Liam, and Caleb Fisher; and her loving sister Patricia "Ann" Wallace.
Louise worked in manufacturing, starting at Taylor Products, and retiring from Phillips Products. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Mishawaka. Louise loved scrap booking, flowers, and gardening. She is loved and will be missed.
Services celebrating the life of Louise Fisher will begin at Noon (12 o'clock) Monday, December 18, 2023 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Visitation is from 11:00 am until service time Monday. Reverend Terry Parker will officiate. Burial and graveside services will follow at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart. The family kindly request memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
