Margaret Hardin,71, of Elkhart, met her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 26, 2020 at her home.
Margaret was born on January 25, 1949 in Coldwater, Mississippi to Welton and Mary (Newson) Hardin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Welton and Mary and sisters, Georgia Hardin and Rose Mary Hardin.
Margaret is survived by her children, James Earl Sanders of Los Angeles, California, Veronica D. Hardin, Leonard D. Hardin and Antiony M. Hardin, all of Elkhart; grandchildren, Journei, Jaimorri, Dhalyn Sanders, James Earl Sanders Jr, Juwan Hardin, Kaleb Hardin, Trinity Hardin, Jalen Batiste, Antonio Hardin Jr. and Christian Hardin; great-grandson, Heir Williams; brothers and sisters, Nettie Reynolds of Blytheville, AR, Josephine Shaw of Saginaw, MI, Dorethy Hardin of Elkhart, Leneroa Farmer of Saginaw, MI, Clearance Burton of Saginaw, MI, Willie May Scott of Flint, MI, Walter Hardin of Pontiac, MI and Noon Welton Hardin, Jr., of Saginaw, MI; and her partner, Larry Grissett of Elkhart.
Margaret was a factory worker for many companies in Elkhart including Foam Ex L.P. and Plumrose USA Inc. She was a lifetime member of Community Baptist Church and a member of the Christian Harmonizer singing group. She was also an avid Bible reader along with her partner, Larry.
Margaret enjoyed cooking for her family, especially her soul food. She loved meeting new people and having fun. Margaret always gave of her time. She was known to remember everyone's birthday and send a holiday card. Margaret will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Visitation for Margaret will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514. Per the family's request, cremation was chosen.

Due to Elkhart County Health Ordinances, facial coverings are required for those entering the funeral home and a limit of 50 people can be in a chapel at once.
