She was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Roann, to Alonzo and Lena (Carpenter) Oswalt. She married William Riley Eltzroth on May 28, 1955, in Elkhart. He died Oct. 20, 1975.

Mrs. Eltzroth is survived by one son, Scott (Penny) Eltzroth of Elkhart; two daughters, Barbara (Duane) Cessna and Kathy Jo Eltzroth, both of Elkhart; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Lee Eltzroth; and three sisters, her twin, Marian Isabell Radford, Bonnie Fingerle and Wilma Minnicuss.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. After visitation, a procession will leave the funeral home for a graveside service in Adamsville Cemetery. The Rev. Odell Hughes of Southern Care Hospice will officiate.

Mrs. Eltzroth was a self-employed nurse's aide and a domestic household caretaker for many years until she retired. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and going to garage sales.
