ELKHART — Marcille L. "Marcie" Moore, 79, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born in Elkhart on Feb. 8, 1936, to the late Fred and Marie (Frailey) Heffner.
She married William Elliott. He survives her in Elkhart.
She married Ernest Moore.
He preceded her in death along with her sisters, Pauline Myers, Viola Laurence, Devere Cox and Carol Truex, and son Ryan Elliott.
Surviving are her daughter, Tina (Les Shidler) Hembree of Elkhart; her stepson, Rick (Cindy Michael) Moore; sisters Helen Pettit of Montpelier, Ohio, Carlie (Jim) Eldridge of LaPorte and Addaline (Doyne) Parker of Mountain View, Ark.; brothers Curtis Heffner of Goshen and Orville (Dorjean) Heffner of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Marcie's life will be Monday, Dec. 14, at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral at noon. Pastor John Drexler of First Brethren Church in Goshen will officiate. Burial will follow services in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.
Marcie was a member of Dunlap Evangelical United Brethren Church. She enjoyed gospel music, working in her yard, sewing and spending time with her family.
