Obituary
CHICAGO -- Marcia G. Rodriguez, 59, of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago after an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 20, 1951, in LaPorte to George and Jacqueline R. (Rimkus) Bachert. She married Nicknora Rodriguez, whom passed away in Chicago in 2007.
Surviving are brother David G. (Carol) Bachert of Middlebury, Ind., sister Diane E. (Martin) Sisko of Valley Village, Calif., and mother Jacqueline Bachert of Elkhart, Ind.
Along with her husband, her father preceded her in death.
A memorial celebration of Marcia's life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart with visitation one hour prior. Pastor James Pettit of First Baptist Church will officiate. Cremation has taken place.
Marcia worked at several Chicago-area bistros for more than 20 years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
