KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Marcia D. Harmon, 77, of Kalamazoo, formerly of Benton Harbor, died at 9:15 p.m. Friday (Feb. 25, 2011) at Tendercare Westwood, Kalamazoo, after an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Lexington, Ky., to William F. and Willie Mae (Givens) Wilhite Sr.
Surviving are daughter Valerie J. Harmon-Cohn of Kalamazoo; son Glenn E. Harmon of Phoenix; brothers Lindsay K. Wilhite of Kalamazoo and William F. Wilhite Jr. of Denver; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A sister, Brenda Harmon-Lee, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, in Crystal Springs Cemetery, 1655 E. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor.
Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, Ind., has been entrusted with arrangements.
