A graveside service for Major L. Stuart, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in Syracuse Cemetery in Syracuse.
Billings Funeral Home and Altera Cremation Services have been assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
March 5, 1944 - Nov. 28, 2012
ELKHART — Major Lee Stuart, 68, of Elkhart and Goshen, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Elkhart Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on March 5, 1944, in Dalhart, Texas, to the late Ernest C. and Florence (Bortz) Stuart.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruby Hapner of Syracuse, and brother, David B. Stuart of Dunsmuir, Calif.
Major formerly worked as a lumberjack and was in the U.S. Navy from 1961 until 1964.
He will be cremated and buried at a later date in Syracuse Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.
