Obituary
ELKHART -Lynus W. "Bill" Wilmore, 92, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 23, 2017 at Woodland Manor from natural causes. Bill was born on August 3, 1924 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Lynus C. and Addell C. (Simons) Wilmore.
In addition to his parents, a brother Robert H. Wilmore Sr. and sister Rosella Wilmore preceded Bill in death.
Surviving is a niece RaNay Wilmore and nephew David (Sandy) Wilmore, both of Elkhart; and 7 great nieces and nephews.
Bill retired from LaBour Pump Co., as the assistant to the president, after many years of service. He graduated from Elkhart High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1948 until his honorable discharge 1951.
Funeral services for Bill will be 11:00 a.m. with calling 1 hour prior on Tuesday, February 28, at Billings Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Stevens of Who So Ever Will Worship Center will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard and DAV #19.
