ELKHART -- Lurline Mae Mohr, 77, of Elkhart, passed away at 11:19 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at IU Health Goshen Hospital in Goshen after battling several illnesses.
She was born in Coldwater, Ohio, on July 12, 1933, to James E. and Madonna E. (Howell) Frommel. They preceded her in death, along with her son, Bruce A. Mohr, and a sister, Rosemary Shepard.
Surviving are her sons, Joshua D., Ronald W. (Annie) and Richard T. Mohr, both of Elkhart, and Verne C. (Diane) Mohr of Goshen; a daughter, Sheryl D. (Clarence "J.R.") Black of Elkhart; a brother, James (Connie) Frommel of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Elaine Frommel of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In accordance with Lurline's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life was held Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Hively Avenue Mennonite Church in Elkhart. Pastor Charles Geiser officiated. Burial will be at a later date in Celina, Ohio.
Billings Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
Lurline worked at Elkhart General Hospital for more than 20 years.
