ELKHART — Mr. Luella L. "Bob" Starcher, 44, passed away in his Elkhart home at 7:27 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, after an extended illness.
He was born June 14, 1967, in Montgomery, W. Va., and was the son of Lucille V. Starcher Simms, who survives him in Elkhart.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kiersten K. Starcher Rinehart of Goshen; a brother, Marvin Starcher of Elkhart; a nephew, Marvin Jeffery of Elkhart; two nieces, Gina and Ashley Jeffery, both of West Virginia; and close family friend Sharon Adams of Elkhart.
Cremation has taken place and Mr. Starcher's remains will be returned to his childhood home in West Virginia. His family has planned a memorial service for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at True Vine Tabernacle, 54365 Independence St., Elkhart, with elder Conrad Hochstetler officiating. Billings Funeral Home and Altera Cremation Services of Elkhart are assisting with arrangements.
Bob worked many years in construction and as a laborer in the local RV industry. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
