She was born Nov. 12, 1917, in South Bend to Theodore and Millie (Helm) Geldner. On Sept. 5, 1935, in South Bend, she married Darrell C. Fetters. He died in 1999.

She is survived by one daughter, Virginia "Ginger" (Tim) Bryant of Middlebury; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Geldner; and one sister, Marjorie Seltzer.

A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Bristol Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, with Elder Ronald Pinter officiating. Cremation has taken place. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fetters grew up and married in the Michiana area, but in 1953, she and her husband, Darrell moved to St. Ignace, Mich., where they did missionary work to establish the first Jehovah's Witness congregation in that area. They remained there for the next 50 years, where they both served as ministers for the St. Ignace congregation.

Mrs. Fetters more recently was a member of the Bristol congregation. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafts, especially dolls. She also enjoyed watching basketball and doing taxidermy, a skill she taught herself. She was a 1934 graduate of Central High School in South Bend.

Memorials may be given to the Bristol Kingdom Hall. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.billingsfuneralhome.com.
