She was born July 6, 1922, in Desarc, Ark., to James and Clara May (Swint) Maronay. She married Walter S. Scott, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry L. and James (Wanda) Scott, both of Elkhart; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Maronay of Almyra, Ark., Bill Maronay of Casscoe, Ark., and Earl (Marianne) Maronay of Lonoke, Ark.; and one sister, Marie Sourp of Sun City, Calif.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, James T. Scott; two sisters and three brothers.

Friends may call two hours prior to the noon Friday funeral service at Calvary Assembly of God. Pastor Mike Bundy will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Scott was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Assembly of God, where she did volunteer work. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
