ELKHART — Lorna G. Schlabaugh, 68, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 16, 1946, in Elkhart, to Gary W. and Wauneta J. (Crussemeyer) Stout.
Survivors include one son, Kevin (Terri) Schlabaugh, daughter Tina Beatty and brother Brian (Kathy) Stout, all of Elkhart; one sister, Rita (Dennis) Tudor of Vandalia, Mich.; one granddaughter, Sierra Beatty of Elkhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorna worked as a waitress at Bristol Street Café and Boardwalk Café for several years. Her customers cared for her just as much as she cared for them.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lorna to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
