ELKHART — Loretta F. Palumbo, 87, of Elkhart, passed to her rest Tuesday morning, April 28, at Golden Living Center.
She was born April 17, 1928, in South Bend, to the late John and Martha (Nespovaney) Kabzinski.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Michael N. Palumbo; five brothers, Bud, Dick, John Jr., Joseph and Robert Kabzinski; and her sister, Evelyn Peterson, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, Vito (Sue) Palumbo of Elkhart; daughters Georgia (Conrad) Kubasiak and Antoinette Marie Palumbo, both of Elkhart; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Loretta formerly worked at Sears. She was a bartender for many years at the Disco Den and also worked as a waitress.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Friends may call two hours prior to the 3 p.m. Thursday, April 30, service celebrating Loretta's life at Billings Funeral Home. Father Zachary Barry will officiate. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend.
