ELKHART -- Lonnie M. Wiggins, 62, of 2250 Cassopolis St., died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2006) in Elkhart General Hospital, after a short illness.

He was born Aug. 24, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Gordon and Trevis (Miller) Wiggins. He married Carolyn F. Casey.

She survives along with three sons, Charles (Stephanie) Casey, Dusty Wiggins (Ashley Chupp) and Michael Casey, all of Elkhart; three daughters, Amanda Wiggins, at home, and Lonie Wiggins and Debbie (Brian) Corpe, both of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Jonathon (Bean) and Billie (Jeanette) Wiggins, both of Cincinnati; and one sister, Diane Balcum of Hillsboro, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Tom Wiggins.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Monday funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Robert J. Simon will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen, with military graveside honors.

Mr. Wiggins was a tow-motor operator for Elixir Industries Inc. for several years. He was an avid Ohio State football fan and was handy around the house. He enjoyed watching professional wrestling and spending time with his family.

Mr. Wiggins was a Vietnam War veteran, serving from 1968 to late 1969, when he was honorably discharged.
