Obituary

ELKHART — Lois "LaVonne" Myers, formerly of Stratford Commons, passed away of natural causes on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Golden Living Center.

She was born in Elkhart on July 22, 1930, to the late Joseph and Marie Lantz. Also preceding her in death were husbands Charles Johnson and John Myers; sisters Beatrice Nusbaum and Betty Lantz; and brother Bob Lantz.

Surviving are a daughter, Marjorie (Dan) Lee of Union, Mich.; a son, Steve (Norma) Johnson of Elkhart; a sister, Mary Lou (Ronnie) Martin of Goshen; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home. The service will be at Creekside Church of the Brethren, 60455 C.R. 113, at 10 a.m. Wednesday with visitation at 9 a.m. Pastors Janet Shaver, Rosanna McFadden and Elizabeth Kelsey will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

LaVonne was a member of Creekside for more than 45 years and volunteered at Riverview Adult Day Center. Memorials may be given to the church, and online condolences can be posted at www.billingsfuneralhome.com.
