ELKHART — Lois A. Meyers, 85, of Elkhart, passed away after an extended illness at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Greenleaf Living Center of Elkhart.
She was born in Donovan, Ill., on March 13, 1928, to the late John and Bessie (Swanson) Johnson.
She married Albert D. "Bud" Meyers Sr. on June 2, 1951, in Goshen. He passed away in Elkhart in 2011.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Jack Johnson.
Surviving are her children, A.D. "Bud" Meyers Jr. and Cathy (Pete) Lavrich, both of Elkhart; and a grandson, Nicholas Meyers of Goshen.
Friends and family may gather at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, to celebrate Lois' life. No other services have been scheduled. A private family burial will take place in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.
Lois spent most of her life as a homemaker.
