ELKHART — Logan Stuart Dean Laughman, 7, of Elkhart, passed away following a sudden illness at Elkhart General Hospital at 7:23 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18.
Born, in Elkhart, Aug. 17, 2009, Logan was the son of Ron D. and Jen. L. (LeCount) Laughman Jr. of Elkhart, and is survived by siblings Michael D. and Lilliana M. Laughman at home.
Grandparents include Nancy LeCount, Ron D. (Marybeth) Laughman Sr., and Barbara Smock, all of Elkhart.
Also surviving are his great-grandparents and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been honored with hosting Logan's memorial celebration of life services beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22.
Visitation will be one hour prior to that.
Pastor Chuck Waite of the Hillcrest United Methodist Church of Elkhart will officiate.
In accordance with the family's wishes, Logan has been cremated.
Logan attended first grade at Woodland Elementary School. He was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying flag football and NASCAR auto racing.
And, as with any 7-year-old boy, Logan enjoyed his Transformer action figurines and his Lego building blocks.
A delight to his family, friends, teachers and classmates, he will be best remembered for his ability to light up a room, his outgoing and sociable personality and his epic Lego building projects.
