ELKHART — Lisa S. Young, 58, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Dec. 13, 1954, in Troy, Ohio. On March 13, 1982, she married Tim S. Young in Elkhart. He survives at home.
Other survivors include one brother, Blake Swihart of Westchester, Pa.; two sisters, Brenda Restivo of Indianapolis and Jessie Swihart of Mishawaka; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Daniel and Mary L. (Bollinger) Swihart.
Lisa was employed and served as director of the Humane Society of Elkhart County for 28 years prior to her retirement in 2007.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkhart.
Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services and a memorial service will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County, 54687 C.R. 19, Bristol, IN 46507.
