Obituary

Lisa Charlene Treece, 65, of Goshen, formerly of Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Majestic Care of Goshen. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina on January 22, 1960, to Claude "Lee" Stroup and Cindy Lou (Witt) Dubose, who preceded her in death.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 17 years, Douglas Treece; sons, Justin King, Jason King, and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Terry; grandchildren Payton King, Gabriel King, Sylas Terry, and Simon Terry; sisters, Debbie Atherton, Paula Morton, Susan Echevarria, Tammy Nay; aunt, Naida Stebbins; and faithful furry friends, Kitt the dog and Taco the cat.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Lisa was a kindhearted and loving woman who would put others' needs before her own. She was a hard worker who worked for the Hess Corporation until she retired in 2020. When she lived in Florida, she attended church in Fort Myers. It was through her faith that she kept her spirits up knowing the Lord would provide.

Lisa had a spunky personality and enjoyed singing Karaoke. She also enjoyed the music of Ozzy Osbourne, whom she shares a homegoing date with. Lisa and Douglas enjoyed spending time together. Their favorite pastimes were watching movies (although she would ask 20 questions about the film) and Nascar.  Lisa was the warmhearted maternal figure of her family; her many nieces and nephews alongside her grandchildren knew her as their Grandma. She will be dearly missed by so many.
