Lisa Jane Cox, 61, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare in Elkhart. She was born in Elkhart, IN on December 25, 1964, to the late William Cox and Gretchen (Monschein) Lowell, who survives her.

Lisa survived by her son, Zachary Clark of Washington; step father, Dave Lowell, brother, Richard Cox; half-brother, John Harvey; step brother, Christopher Lowell; step sister, Charlotte (Joe) Wicker of Edwardsburg; and nieces and nephews, Justin Cox, Kallie (Joey) Steiner, Cole Sears-Harvey, Riley Cox, and Robert Hargrove. She is preceded in death by her father, William Cox and step mother, Arlene Cox.

A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. with Pastor John Shrock of Traditions Hospice officiating the service at 6:00 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Lisa was cremated and was laid to rest at Adamsville Cemetery with her father. Memorial donations may be given to Here Kitty Kitty Rescue, 25138 Co Rd 24, Elkhart, IN 46517.

Lisa was a loving mother and kind woman who worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for several years. Her family meant the world to her. Lisa was proud of her son, Zac’s, accomplishments as he served proudly in the United States Air Force for 7 years. She was a “Daddy’s” girl who thought highly of her father. Because of him, she had a fondness for Kola Bears and collected them after he sent her one from Australia when he was serving in the Vietnam war on R&R.

The holidays was Lisa’s favorite time of the year. She especially enjoyed Christmas and loved the fact that she and Jesus shared a birthday. Lisa enjoyed crafting Christmas decorations and made many that are still put up around the house every year. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden, especially weeding. It was here in her garden that she felt at peace. Lisa was an animal lover and loved all animals, big and small. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends.
