ELKHART — Linda Sue Tuttle, 70, of Elkhart, passed away early Friday morning, Feb. 19, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
Linda was born on Aug. 25, 1945, in South Bend, to the late Robert L. and Laura F. Quimby. She married the love of her life, Burton E. Tuttle, on Sept. 12, 1964 in South Bend; he just recently passed away Jan. 23, 2016. She and Burton were married 51 years.
Surviving are her loving children, Monty (Sherry) Tuttle of Nappanee, Marsha (James) Hall of Elkhart, Jeffery Tuttle of Mishawaka and Julie (Nathan) Steensma of Elkhart; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, with two on the way; a brother Terry (Peggy) Quimby of South Bend; and sister Connie (Ed) Kilgore of Elkhart.
Linda was the district manager for H & R Block, retiring after 35 years of service. She and her husband Burton were active members of the Apostolic Temple Church, South Bend, working with the youth; she continued that ministry and membership at Grace Point Apostolic Church in Osceola. Linda loved to sew and quilt; she also enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and traveling.
Services celebrating the life of Linda Tuttle will begin with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Grace Point Apostolic Church 54662 Ash Road, Osceola; followed by a celebration service at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, also at the church, with visitation one hour prior. Pastors Mike Swinehart, Norman Andrews and Jeremy Lower will officiate. In honoring Linda's wishes, cremation will follow.
The family request memorials are given to the church.
