Linda J. (Bingaman) Brown, 65, formerly of Edwardsburg, Mich., ended her battle with "Early Onset Alzheimer's" on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Elkhart where she resided since 2011. Linda was born on December 26, 1951 in Elkhart to Willis W. and Beverly Bingaman. Both of her parents have preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Susan J. Bingaman and husband Craig Jerina, and niece Mara Bingaman. She married Franklin D. Brown on May 29, 1982. He survives with their sons; Tyler W. Brown, Jordan F. Brown and Clayton A. Brown along with several nieces and nephews all of Edwardsburg, Mich. She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Willis and Bonnie Brown and brothers-in-law; Rex Brown and Danny Brown. Linda graduated from Elkhart High School in 1970. She was a housewife for many of her married years, giving her the opportunity to be involved in her sons' school and assisted the teachers with projects including costume making and crafts. Her previous employers were Coachman, Indiana Teacher's Association and the Elkhart Fire Department Central Station, where she worked as a receptionist at all businesses. Linda was a member of the Ontwa Baptist Church, Edwardsburg, Mich., where she volunteered as a church secretary. Her genuine smile and happy attitude will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  Friends may call 1 hour prior to the 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2017 celebration of life service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart.
