ELKHART -- Friends of Linda Lou Bergerson, 64, of Plainfield Drive, may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the funeral at 11 a.m. Monday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. The Rev. Lil Ragland of Rock Harvest Ministries Church will officiate. Burial and graveside services will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.

Mrs. Bergerson died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2007) at home, following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born Aug. 7, 1942, in Elkhart, to Joseph E. and Pauline Fern (Canen) McClane. On May 7, 1983, she married Jerold E. Bergerson in Elkhart.

He survives, along with two daughters, Debra (Terry) Hess and Cathy Albright, both of Elkhart; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Pauline Fern Lyons of Elkhart; two sisters, Phyllis (Danney) Kinard of Danville, Ga., and Sharon (Bob) Parish of Elkhart; and two brothers, Larry McClane of Elkhart and Frank McClane of Hollywood, Calif. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph B. McClane Jr.; a sister, Judith Ann McClane; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Miller.

Mrs. Bergerson was a homemaker who worked at Electromation Corp. and Dygert Seating, Elkhart. She was a member of Rock Harvest Ministries Church and had attended Elkhart Church of God for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts and was known for her flower arrangements and for helping people in need.
