ELKHART — Lewis W. Dipert, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Goshen General Hospital. He was born February 4, 1945 at Ft. Monroe, Elizabeth City, Virginia to Floyd and Martha Louise (Heck) Dipert. He married Ressie C. Dressler on June 19, 2003, Ressie survives, as well as 3 step-children, David R. (Gaylin) Dressler, Larry R. (Dorothy) Dressler and Tonya R.  (Jeff) Bickel; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Dipert, Terry (Gaylin) Dipert,  Butch (Sally)  Dipert and a sister Judy (Tom) Hagg, also survive. He was preceded in death by a son Keith Dipert and a step-son Adam Dressler. Lewis worked as a security officer for Tri-State Protection for 9 years. He was a Mason and was always willing to help people and did volunteer work for various charities. Per his request cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.
